Judge Kelly Linger is seeking to retain her seat as Columbiana County Municipal Court Judge. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Linger spent 18 years practicing law in all the different courts in Columbiana County. She maintained a private law practice while also serving the community as an attorney representing indigent defendants through the public defender’s office and then as an Assistant County Prosecutor.

She has experience in criminal defense, prosecution of crime, civil litigation, custody disputes, victim representation, estate planning, and more.

Judge Linger is a Columbiana County Native, having graduated from Beaver Local High School. She graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and then went on to graduate law school from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. After working in civil litigation in Cleveland for a year after graduation, she returned to Columbiana County and had been representing the citizens of this County for 17 years before taking the bench.

 

She is a member of the Ohio Municipal/County Court Judges’s Association, the Federalist Society, the NRA, Ohio Gun Owners Association, Ohio Conservatives in Action Caucus, the Ohio Farm Bureau, among others.

Judge Linger remains the most qualified candidate for the position by experience. That was true when she was appointed to the position and it is more so true today.
